AI/ML Engineer (Cybersecurity Specialisation)

PowTech Group is sourcing an AI/ML Engineer with a cybersecurity focus for a client project engagement. This role sits at the intersection of machine learning engineering and application security, and is suited for someone who has built or contributed to AppSec or threat-detection tooling before.

Responsibilities:

1. Build and deploy ML models using Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, and LangChain or LlamaIndex.
2. Work on anomaly detection systems, threat modelling pipelines, and SAST/DAST model integrations.
3. Own MLOps workflows including model deployment, monitoring, and fine-tuning pipelines.
4. Apply knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP LLM Top 10, and adversarial AI concepts to real-world security contexts.
5. Collaborate with security engineers and product stakeholders on AI-driven AppSec tooling.

What we are looking for:

1. Solid Python and ML framework experience is baseline. The differentiator here is cybersecurity context.
2. Candidates who have worked on security-aware ML systems, contributed to AppSec tooling, or understand adversarial AI risks will be prioritised.
3. MLOps experience is expected, not optional.
