PowTech Solution (M) Sdn. Bhd. (“PowTech”, “we”, “us”) is a technology staffing and software development company headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are the data processor and data user for personal data collected through this website.

2. Our commitment under PDPA

We comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia) (“PDPA”). We only collect personal data that is necessary, only use it for the purpose you were informed of, and do not share it with third parties except as required by law or explicitly consented to.

3. What data we collect and why

3a. ATS CV Screener

When you use our free ATS CV Screener tool we collect:

• Full name and email address — to identify your submission and contact you about relevant roles
• Country of residence — to confirm eligibility (service is limited to Malaysia)
• Current or latest job title — to match your profile to relevant openings
• Your CV file (PDF or DOCX) — to run the ATS compliance analysis and retain for recruitment consideration
• ATS score and analysis result — stored alongside your submission record

Legal basis: Your explicit consent, given at the time of submission. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.

Retention: CV files and submission records are retained for as long as necessary for active recruitment consideration. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us — see Section 6.

3b. Job applications

When you apply for a role we collect your name, email, phone number, cover letter, and any CV or documents you attach. This data is used solely to evaluate your application and to contact you regarding current or future relevant roles. Retained for as long as necessary for recruitment purposes.

3c. Contact form

Name, email, and message content. Used to respond to your enquiry. Retained for up to 6 months.

3d. Website analytics

We may collect anonymised usage data (page views, device type) to improve the website. No personally identifiable information is included in analytics.

4. How we store and protect your data

• Data is stored on servers located in Malaysia or within the region, protected by access controls.
• CV files are stored under a randomised filename (not your original filename) and are accessible only to authorised PowTech staff.
• Admin access to submission data requires authenticated login.
• We do not store your CV content in plain text in any publicly accessible location.
• In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant authority as required under PDPA.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We will not share your data with third parties except:

• With your explicit consent (e.g., if we present your profile to a client for a role you applied for)
• Where required by Malaysian law or a court order
• With service providers who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations

6. Your rights under PDPA

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correct — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Withdraw consent — stop us from processing your data for marketing purposes at any time
• Erasure — request deletion of your personal data (subject to any legal retention obligations)

7. Cookies

We use a minimal session cookie to remember your preference on the cookie banner. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics, if enabled, uses anonymised data only.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
