Lead Business and Data Analyst

Duties & Accountabilities

  • Meet with senior business stakeholders to understand requirements and highlight constraints and be
    proactive and raise concerns.
  • Clear formulation of ideas, providing the right level of details to the specific stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of objectives and requirements
  • Analytical thinking ability, collecting requirements, creating use cases, modeling business processes,
    conducting workshops techniques
  • Understand the Business Requirements and decompose this into user stories and tasks that will be worked on by the team to achieve the requirement
  • Understand the legacy landscape and also understand the data behind these solutions by going through stored procedures and scripts to understand the business logic and document this in the user stories. SQL and Reading and Understanding Stored Procedures knowledge is necessary.
  • Understand the Acceptance Criteria and the Test Scripts and document them.
  • Ability to plan, organize and structure work, ability to estimate and deliver tasks within scheduled dates.
  • Ability to anticipate potential problems, determine and implement solutions, strong problem-solving skills.
  • Practical knowledge of issues related to the usability of systems/ application.
  • Expert ability to elicit and define requirements on many levels (User requirements, functional and non- functional requirements).
  • Practical knowledge of requirements definition techniques (use cases and scenarios, user stories, acceptance criteria).
  • Practical knowledge of analytical artifacts (process modeling, process mapping, conceptual and logical modeling, data dictionary, requirements modeling, business rules, decision tables, etc.).
  • Translating requirements into specifications, ability to use precise technical language, creating high-quality documentation.
  • Ensure content is “translated” for the intended audience (turning IT jargon and technical details into clear and simple terms).
  • Has deep insights into business and can understand issues or signals that present itself in the data.
  • Work closely together with business users to understand data requirements and can create some simple dashboards or visualizations to dig into the insights from the data and help business in their decision making process.
  • Requirements management throughout their lifecycle, ensuring requirements are tracked and traced, the ability to manage changes in requirements effectively.
  • Clear formulation of ideas, providing the right level of details to the specific stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of objectives and requirements.
  • Curiosity and analytical thinking, ability to ask the right questions, ability to challenge requirements and business processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of BA experience.
  • Good Technical Knowledge in SQL, to look at stored procedures etc. and understand the data in already existing solutions. Can run SQL queries and pull and join different data.
  • Required experience and qualifications: Business partnering, can support in resolving data questions that relate to business (processes).
  • Capable of visualizing in the right format and right tool (ThoughtSpot, Tableau).
  • Good Data and Exploration Skills.
  • Industry knowledge in Commercial Domain.
  • Knowledge in the DataOne architecture, tools and practices is a plus.
  • Good organizational, analytical & consulting skills.
  • Good Stakeholder and Communication Skills.
  • Open to working on EMEA time zones.
