About the role
We’re looking for a motivated and proactive Tableau & Snowflake Support Specialist/Developer to join our data and analytics team. This role is perfect for a data professional who enjoys both building robust data solutions and providing direct support to end-users. You’ll be a key player, using your technical skills to create impactful data visualizations and your communication skills to troubleshoot issues and assist stakeholders at all levels.
Duties & Accountabilities
- Act as a primary point of contact for internal teams by managing and resolving incoming support tickets related to data platforms.
- Troubleshoot issues within Tableau dashboards and assist with query issues in Snowflake.
- Utilize analytical skills to diagnose data issues, find solutions, and contribute to the smooth operation of the data ecosystem.
- Handle user access requests for Snowflake and Tableau, ensuring data security and integrity.
- Create, develop, and maintain high-quality dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau Desktop and Server.
- Write and optimize Snowflake SQL queries to support reporting and analytics.
- Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements, respond to day-to-day inquiries, and deliver effective and scalable BI solutions.
Requirements
- Senior proficiency with Tableau (dashboard development, troubleshooting, and usage).
- Mid-level proficiency with Snowflake (querying, data access, and optimization).
- Experience as a data professional, with a background in either hands-on development or a data-related customer-facing role.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- A proactive mindset with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to balance both support and development responsibilities within a data environment.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, focus on end-user value delivery. Fluent in English.
- Open to working on Malaysia Time (MYT) time zone.
