Job Description: Network / Telco IT Project Manager (Contract 12 Months)
Location: Malaysia (Open to expats)
We are seeking an experienced Network / Telco IT Project Manager to join our team in Malaysia. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in managing network and telecommunication-related IT projects. The role will involve handling projects related to network infrastructure, telecommunications systems, and IT services. Proficiency in Mandarin will be an advantage as the candidate may need to coordinate with teams in China. The candidate must excel in multitasking, have the ability to cope with a matrix organization, and demonstrate excellent communication skills in English. Immediate availability is preferred for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end IT projects related to network infrastructure and telecommunications systems.
- Plan, budget, and schedule projects to ensure successful implementation within defined timelines and resources.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project objectives, resources, and deliverables.
- Utilize both Waterfall and Agile methodologies based on project requirements.
- Utilize project management tools like Jira, ServiceNow, Google Workspace, and others to track progress and manage project documentation.
- Regularly communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders to ensure transparency and manage expectations.
- Lead project teams, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance to achieve project goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve challenges or obstacles during project execution.
- Utilize Mandarin language proficiency for effective communication and coordination with teams in China, as necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing IT projects, particularly in network infrastructure and telecommunications.
- Strong technical background in network and telecommunications technologies.
- Proficiency in Mandarin will be beneficial for coordinating with teams in China.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple IT projects concurrently within a matrix organizational structure.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Priority will be given to candidates who can start immediately.
Recommended Knowledge / Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of network technologies, telecommunications systems, and IT services.
- Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Google Workspace, and others.
- Certification in project management, network technologies, and ITIL Service Management will be advantageous.
